Pipe Welder

We are looking for X10 Pipe Welders for a Monday‑Thursday 4‑day standard week on a brand‑new project and engineering workshop in Dewsbury. Up to 41 days holiday.

We have a strong reputation for quality, safety and efficiency, and we’re expanding our team of skilled Pipe Welders at our new facility in the WF12 area of Dewsbury, which is easily commutable from Wakefield, Barnsley, Bradford, Leeds and North Huddersfield.

• Performing TIG welding on stainless and carbon steel pipework to x‑ray standard
• Fabricating pipework and fittings from technical drawings
• Carrying out purging and ensuring welds meet pressure and integrity standards
• Tack welding and assembling pipe sections
• Conducting weld inspections and reworking defects
• Maintaining accurate weld records and adhering to strict H&S protocols
• Collaborating with supervisors, pipe fitters and quality inspectors

• Proven experience in TIG pipe welding (MMA is a bonus)
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings
• Strong understanding of welding codes (e.g. BSEN, ASME, AWS)
• Good hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail
• Previous welding certifications and pipe‑welding evidence required (Apprenticeship / NVQs / City & Guilds / College Level 2 and 3 equivalents)
• Time‑served Pipe welders are considered if you have sound work history in pipe welding and can pass the following weld test and qualifications within 3 weeks
• Willingness to complete a video interview and onsite weld test:
  • TIG Butt weld (stainless & carbon steel)
  • Pipe‑to‑plate fillet weld
  • MMA Butt & Fillet welds (bonus, but not essential)

Standard: Monday‑Wednesday 7 am‑5 pm and Thursday 7 am‑4 :30 pm

Breaks: Paid morning and afternoon break + 30‑minute unpaid lunch

Overtime: Fridays & Saturdays available at T+1 / 2

Bradford – with a vision to move to Dewsbury

£46,000 OTE Monday to Friday only (£19.66 / hr base + average overtime)

Full‑time, Permanent (after successful completion of a probationary period)
