Media Developer – Onsite role at HMNB Clyde, Faslane (Helensburgh), UK. Full‑time, Permanent, SC Clearance required.

About the role

As the Media Developer you will support the Integrated Training Design Service to deliver blended, active learning that delivers customer delight. The ideal candidate has a background in 3D Modelling and Animation, works within a standardised development environment, thinks creatively, excels in a collaborative team atmosphere, and is detail‑oriented.

Requirements
  • Passion for training transformation and continuous improvement.
  • Produce 3D models & media for RN training courses in accordance with the Media production processes.
  • Create animation sequences visualising and planning complex concepts.
  • Experience developing media content within Autodesk 3D Studio Max and/or Blender and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office on a PC based system.
  • Delivery experience of eLearning Media projects.
  • Experience creating media content and technology‑based learning solutions.
  • Daily use of the Defence Learning Environment (DLE) – Moodle based LMS + H5P authoring tool.
  • Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Office, SharePoint and in‑house systems.
  • Enthusiasm to learn, collaborate and demonstrate best practice within the business, customers and the wider team.
  • Attention to detail, passion for quality, planning, multitasking, deliver on time and work independently.
  • Flexible approach, adapt to evolving priorities, positive obstacle navigation and effective responsibility management.

Desirable
  • Knowledge of UK Ministry Defence procedures and policies.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance processes.
  • Experience of Rapid Authoring tools.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for all media tasks assigned – advocate for learner‑centric, active and engaging media.
  • Support the Media team in producing interactive, innovative, engaging media content, adhering to the Courseware and Media production process.
  • Develop innovative and engaging media content utilising industry‑standard software.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships with subject matter experts to positively contribute towards training transformation.
  • Collaborate with customers and colleagues to create fit‑for‑purpose e‑Learning content through storyboard development, meeting project deadlines, resources and budget.
  • Identify and implement best practice across multimedia outputs.
  • Maintain and adhere to asset management of electronic files, admin systems and document management control.
  • Responsible for continuous professional development of yourself.
  • Adhere to the Quality Assurance procedures and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with MoD & Raytheon (Team Fisher) policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Employees responsible for their own Health and Safety and that of work colleagues and customers.
  • Follow security standards and system requirements to protect data and ensure smooth operations.
  • Support for the Integrated Training Design Service – any other duties required.
  • Occasional travel to other customer sites may be required.
