As a CMF Designer, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of CMF (Color, Material, Finish) strategies that elevate the emotional and aesthetic value of Maxi-Cosi products. The CMF Designer ensures that every touchpoint—from car seats to strollers—reflects the brand’s commitment to comfort, safety, and style, while staying ahead of global trends and sustainability standards.

• CMF Strategy & Brand Alignment
  • Define and evolve the CMF design language across all Maxi-Cosi product categories.
  • Ensure CMF choices reflect Maxi-Cosi’s brand values: premium quality, emotional connection, and modern lifestyle appeal.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Product, and R&D teams to embed CMF into early concept development.
• Trend Forecasting & Consumer Insight
  • Conduct global trend research in color, materials, and finishes, with a focus on parenting lifestyles and interior design.
  • Translate insights into seasonal CMF directions and mood boards tailored to Maxi-Cosi’s target consumers.
• Identify and propose innovative, sustainable materials that meet safety, durability, and regulatory standards.
• Partner with suppliers and internal teams to validate new materials for production feasibility and cost efficiency.
• Champion eco-conscious CMF solutions aligned with Maxi-Cosi’s sustainability roadmap.
• Demonstrate strong interest and capability in working with diverse materials beyond fabrics, including plastics and metals.
• Design Execution & Documentation
• Create detailed CMF designs, specifications and palettes for new product developments and refreshes.
• Ensure seamless integration of CMF into product design, packaging, and merchandising.
• Maintain CMF libraries and documentation for cross-functional use.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Industrial Designers, Product Managers, and Engineers to ensure CMF feasibility and consistency.
  • Ensure a strong design triangle across CMF, Softgoods and Hardware designs.
  • Support Marketing and Brand teams with CMF alignment across consumer touchpoints and campaigns.
• Lead CMF design projects from concept to final execution, managing timelines and deliverables.
• Mentor junior CMF designers and contribute to design process improvements.
• Represent CMF in global design reviews and innovation workshops.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Textile Design, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in CMF design, preferably in premium consumer goods or juvenile products.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating CMF design, strategy, trend translation, and material innovation.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, material sourcing, and sustainability.
• Team player with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in visualization tools such as Photoshop, Key Shot, Blender, and AI-based tools.
• 3D modeling skills are a plus.

What we offer

• A yearly gross salary up to €60K based on your experience and knowledge, with room to grow.
• You will first receive an annual contract with a probation time of one month. Alternatively, there is also the option to collaborate as a freelancer.
• You are eligible for a 13th month salary and holiday allowance every year.
• The option to work hybrid up to 3 days, with 2 joint office days.
• The annual leave entitlements consist of 28 vacation days in the case of full-time employment.
• Other terms include travel expenses, use of a laptop and telephone if required, option to purchase extra holiday hours, and collective health insurance.
