The Environmental Advisor will support the wider environmental team with all matters concerning group environmental compliance. The Environmental Advisor is expected to promote environmental best practice and continual improvement within Adler & Allan.
More about the role:- Assist the team in monitoring and maintaining compliance with environmental legislation, best practice, and company procedures.
- Conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collate environmental data to facilitate the reporting against key metrics, objectives and targets.
- Support environmental incident investigations as required.
- Promote the principles of the waste hierarchy, best practice, and compliant management of non-hazardous and hazardous waste.
- Support the rollout and implementation of environmental programmes to minimise environmental risk and improve performance.
- Assist in the development and delivery of environmental training and awareness materials.
- Provide general environmental advice and guidance to the wider group.
- Keep up to date with changes to environmental legislation and maintain Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

Qualifications and About you- Degree or higher national diploma (HND) in environmental management, sustainability or a related field.
- Minimum 1+ years’ industry experience working in an environmental role.
- Knowledge and understanding of key environmental legislation, guidance and ISO
14001. - Previous experience conducting environmental audits/inspections.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
- ISEP/CIWM membership desirable but not essential.
