Murphy is recruiting for a Stores Person to work with Murphy Plant on contract in the Hemel Hempstead location. Murphy Plant is committed to delivering a plant hire service that is simple, safe, efficient and reliable. We manage and maintain more than £100 million worth of innovative, best‑in‑class plant, transport and specialist equipment and our work spans multiple sectors. Our inventory includes over 15,000 assets ranging from small tools to piling rigs, alongside our award‑winning vehicle fleet which includes one of the UK’s most comprehensive collections of crawler cranes.

Our broad range of equipment also includes specialist assets for ground engineering, pipeline testing, tunnelling, rail and more.

• Ensure excellent standard of Customer Experience.
• Ensure all H&S policies are observed and adhered to.
• Maintain and monitor sufficient stock levels.
• Ensure goods are stored correctly to minimise the possibility of damage or deterioration.
• Assist with the development of stores procedures and practices to cover all aspects of material storage and distribution.
• Ensure accurate records are maintained on the company inventory control system (Dynamics AX).
• Participate in regular stock counts and reconciliation against stock inventory on Dynamics AX.
• Ensure all deliveries are checked and signed on receipt and are free of damages.
• Maintain register of COSHH datasheets for all hazardous materials.

• Previous experience within a store’s environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good IT skills.
