• Working as part of a team to maintain and build employee and customer relations to ensure the workshop operation achieved its objectives and targets.
• Ensuring quality diagnostics and repairs according to repair orders.
• Ensuring work is quality assured and in accordance with standards and literature.
• Maintaining working capacity of machines and tools.
• Striving to achieve Rectification Ratio Zero (right first time).
• Work closely with the VMU manager and communicate the number of parts and labour needed for additional repairs.
• Record and report time spent on repair and maintenance.
• Assure a clean and safe workshop at all times.
• Rotating shifts: 05.00–13.30 and 13.00–21.30 (pay £21);
  Sunday to Thursday 10:00–18:30 (pay £21); 1 in 3 Sundays time and half.

• City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 qualification is essential.
• Experience with in a fleet or commercial environment working on HGVs.
• Practical understanding of using information technology and systems to deliver objectives.
• Safety awareness and a commitment to a right first‑time ethos.
• A flexible and can‑do attitude with the ability to work in a team environment and on one’s own initiative.
• HGV Class 1 Driving licence is preferred.
• Experience with Tail lifts is desirable.
