We are seeking a dedicated Escort / Fabric Operative to join our team at HMP Huntercombe, a category C adult male prison. Join a team that works Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, focused on creating a safe and nurturing environment. The Facilities Maintenance Team supports the smooth and safe operation of the site, with all activities contributing to prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
As an Escort / Fabric Operative, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, Administrators, and others who are dedicated to making a positive difference in a safe and secure environment.

ResponsibilitiesWork within the Facilities Maintenance Team to support the safe and secure operation of HMP Huntercombe. Collaborate with trades and colleagues to maintain building fabric and related environments, contributing to a safe, rehabilitative setting for prisoners and staff.
Qualifications- Experience of prison environment
- Experience of use of hand and power tools
- Previous experience of working within a building fabric / Hard FM environment
- Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
- Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
