Service Engineer – Free Spirits

We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer with expertise in crane maintenance, lifting equipment, and mechanical/electrical systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading company in the industrial engineering sector, providing technical support, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs for clients.

This role is full time and permanent, Monday to Friday 7am‑4.30pm, with a salary of £35,360 per annum (£17/hour) plus overtime at time and a half. A company car is included.

• Perform routine maintenance on cranes and lifting equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs to minimise downtime.
• Carry out system upgrades and modifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
• Maintain accurate service reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Proven experience as a Service Engineer, Field Service Technician, or similar role in industrial machinery or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
• IPAF Licence and NPORS (or equivalent) in lifting equipment preferred.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Comfortable working at heights and towing trailers (training provided).
