Herefordshire Council is responsible for the enforcement of on‑street parking restrictions throughout Herefordshire and also its off‑street car parks. We are looking to appoint a part‑time (22 hrs) enthusiastic, self‑motivated and committed Civil Enforcement Officer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work various shifts as part of a rota system which will include weekends and evenings.
- Carry out high‑visibility patrols across the county enforcing parking regulations by issuing Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles contravening the parking regulations and carrying out routine disabled persons blue badge checks.
- Communicate effectively with people and exhibit confidence to deal with confrontation.
- Patrol on foot for most of the working day outside in all weather conditions.
- Travel independently across the county to enable enforcement.
