Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 3:30 pm and Friday 7:30am - 3pm Salary: £13.50 per hour We are currently recruiting for a temporary Caretaker to join a busy manufacturing environment based on the Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford.

This role offers a great mix of facilities upkeep and hands-on support within the production area. If you enjoy practical work, keeping things running smoothly, and supporting day-to-day operations, this is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and hardworking team.

Key Responsibilities - Carry out routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste removal. Undertake minor repairs such as fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, and other basic maintenance tasks. Monitor buildings, outdoor areas, and equipment, reporting any issues requiring specialist repair. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and cleanliness standards. Perform manual handling duties as required. Keep all units tidy, maintain clear walkways and fire exits, and ensure external areas remain neat and free of debris.

Assist with testing and assembly tasks within the production area. Support welding and fabrication operations, including use of the band saw. Passivate finished goods when required. Provide support to the stores team with deliveries and collections, particularly during busy periods or staff absence.

What Were Looking For Previous caretaking, facilities, or maintenance experience is preferred. Basic understanding of tools and building maintenance. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently. Good communication skills and a proactive, helpful attitude. Physically capable of performing manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying. Reliable, punctual, and responsible. Flexible approach to working hours when required.
