HVAC Project Manager – Hertfordshire – £50,000 Per Annum

Our client is a respected building services contractor based in Hertfordshire, delivering mechanical, HVAC and compliance services across a 30-mile radius. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to oversee a diverse range of commercial contracts.

The business works across heating, air conditioning, water hygiene and light electrical works, supporting a wide portfolio of long-standing clients including local authorities, housing associations, hospitals, retail environments and commercial offices.

Role Overview

The HVAC Project Manager will manage multiple reactive and planned maintenance contracts, ensuring high standards of service delivery, compliance and client satisfaction. The role is office-based in Hertfordshire, with regular site visits as required.

Key Responsibilities

Managing day-to-day delivery of HVAC, heating, A/C, water hygiene and minor electrical works.

Overseeing contract performance, scheduling, labour allocation and resource planning.

Acting as main point of contact for commercial clients, ensuring service levels and KPIs are achieved.

Reviewing RAMS, ensuring statutory and contractual compliance.

Supporting engineers with technical queries and coordinating subcontractors where required.

Managing budgets, variations, and commercial documentation.

Ensuring projects and maintenance works are completed safely, on time and within specification.

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum C&G or equivalent qualification in gas or mechanical engineering.

Strong technical understanding of HVAC, heating systems, A/C, water hygiene and mechanical services.

Experience managing commercial clients within a building services or FM environment.

Ability to manage multiple contracts and deliver a high standard of customer service.

Confident communicator with strong organisational and planning skills.
