This post is an important part of our ongoing development of medical services at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, offering the successful applicant the opportunity to work closely with the existing Dermatologists to provide a high standard of care across the Trust.

We are seeking consultants with enthusiasm, commitment, and drive to work closely with colleagues throughout the organisation and within the community to help lead the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Dermatology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The successful candidate will join a service that prides itself on effective leadership, innovative thinking, and excellent teamwork. We strive to challenge our existing working practices and to constantly improve our service to deliver best practice guidance and to ensure that our patient outcomes are successful and that they feel valued by visits here at the Trust.

The successful applicant will work closely with our existing Dermatology team. The appointee will conduct out‑patient clinics and procedures and inpatient care. Dermatology ward referral time has been built into the timetable to allow the appointee to support Dermatology ward reviews. The post holder will supervise and support our Dermatology nurses, associate specialists and specialty doctors all of whom are based at Hertford County Hospital but provide cover across the Trust sites.

In addition to supporting the existing service the appointee is encouraged to propose ideas for service improvement and development.
