CNC Turner - Setter

Location: Hertfordshire
JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting precision-engineering company in Welwyn Garden City to recruit 2 x CNC Turners/Setters with experience on Mazak and/or Fanuc controls. One position is available on Days, and one on a Back Shift with a 20% shift allowance. These roles offer long-term stability, clean working conditions, and the chance to work with high-quality, specialist components.

The Successful CNC Turner/Setter – Package:

* £17.00 – £22.00 per hour (depending on experience)

* Back Shift includes an additional 20% shift allowance

Days:

* Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm

* Friday: 7:00am – 2:00pm

Back

Shift:

* Monday – Wednesday: 1:30pm – 12:00am

* Thursday: 1:30pm – 11:00pm

The Successful CNC Turner/Setter – Requirements:

* Experienced CNC Turner/Setter from a precision engineering or manufacturing environment

* Skilled setting and operating CNC Lathes with Mazak (Mazatrol) and/or Fanuc controls

* Ability to set machines from scratch, change tooling, adjust offsets and perform first-off checks

* Confident producing small-to-medium batch work to tight tolerances

* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Strong understanding of precision measurement tools such as Micrometers, Verniers, Height Gauges

* Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

* Strong work ethic with a focus on producing right-first-time components
