Salary: £35,000 per annum

Working Hours:

* Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 5:15pm

* Alternate Saturdays: 7:00am – 4:15pm

We are seeking a reliable and alert Retail Security Officer to join our Watford team. This vital position plays an important role in ensuring a safe, secure, and positive environment for customers, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be attentive, confident, and capable of managing situations with calm professionalism.

What you will be doing:

* Collaborate with the Store Manager to manage security issues, reduce theft, and respond effectively to incidents.

* Monitor customer behaviour, conduct receipt checks, and carry out searches when necessary and appropriate.

* Carry out routine patrols of all internal and external areas, including the showroom, stock areas, basement, yard, alleyways, and identified blind spots.

* Perform random inspections and check delivery paperwork for company vehicles.

* Maintain accurate incident logs and review reports weekly with management.

* Ensure the premises are securely closed at the end of the day, leaving with the last member of staff and monitoring external activity such as customer vehicles and parking enforcement.

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven experience in a retail or site security role

* Valid SIA licence

* A high level of honesty, professionalism, and discretion

* Strong attention to detail and situational awareness

* Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal

* The confidence to manage sensitive situations and make sound decisions independently
