Position Overview
Medivet Swanland 24-Hour Hospital is currently seeking a Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their dedicated team at their well-equipped, busy hospital. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to develop nursing skills in medical and surgical nursing, working alongside a skilled Veterinary Surgeon. The hospital offers 24-hour hospitalization, separate dog, cat, exotic & isolation wards, three operating theatres with updated surgical facilities & equipment, an in-house lab, excellent diagnostic imaging facilities including ultrasound, doppler, digital x ray, range of digital endoscopes, rhinoscopy, arthroscopy and a CT suite along with diagnostic ECG, hydrotherapy, underwater treadmill and laser therapy.
The working pattern is 7 nights on 7 nights off.

In This Role You Will- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
