Responsibilities- Operate as a member of the team in the Lamination department.
- Ensure that the workplace, equipment, vehicles and machinery are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
- Undertake a comprehensive training programme to be able to run every aspect of the lamination department, including boards/paper preparation, pressing, inspections, banding, fork truck and general warehouse duties.
- Attend any further training courses as required at other EGGER UK locations.
- Complete shift reports detailing production, downtime and any specific data required for the shift. Liaise with the Shift Supervisor and Day Support regarding shift operations.
- Observe and comply with all safety precautions as detailed in the Health and Safety procedures and ensure that safety equipment is in good order and used at all times.
- Ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents/accidents and hazards are duly reported.
- Observe and comply with the Company Quality Systems as detailed in the Quality Manual.
- Liaise with the shift supervisor and relevant engineering department regarding the condition of production equipment or problems.
- Provide support for holiday/sickness/training/maintenance cover to help maximise production output and efficiency when required.
- Fork Lift Truck Licence (training can be provided).
- Basic standard of IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
- Able to work 12‑hour shifts days/nights.
