Highway Design Engineer

Bennett & Game Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a multi-disciplinary transport planning and infrastructure consultancy, who are looking to expand their Birmingham, Fleet or Gateshead offices with the addition of a Highway Design Engineer or Senior Highway Design Engineer. Our client operates as a 'one-stop' solution for development transport planning, with established offices in Gateshead, Fleet, and Birmingham, providing services to both public and private sector clients, including nationally recognised commercial developers.

They deliver successful outcomes on projects throughout the UK, offering expertise across S278/38 highways design, transport planning, drainage, and environmental engineering. Highway Design Engineer / Senior Highway Design Engineer

Position Overview Deliver highway designs within agreed programmes and budgets Manage project resources to ensure effective team utilisation Support senior management with multi-office and multidisciplinary projects Ensure compliance with design standards from relevant authorities and statutory bodies Undertake, check, and authorise design information, drawings, and reports Produce designs in accordance with MCHW, DMRB, and local design guidance Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and sound technical judgement Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and CDM regulations, with a proactive approach to risk management Highway Design Engineer / Senior Highway Design Engineer
