About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Structural Engineer with at least 3 years of post‑graduate experience to join our clients’ dynamic team in High Wycombe. The ideal candidate will hold a Masters’ degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have hands‑on experience with Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, and Master Series software. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct structural engineering analysis, design, and detailing for a range of projects using Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, and Master series.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Assist with the preparation of technical reports, calculations, and design documentation.
  • Contribute to the creation of 3D models and BIM deliverables, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensure that designs and solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Support the integration of AutoCAD and Revit in project designs and BIM workflows.
  • Continuously enhance technical knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development.
Key Requirements
  • A Masters’ degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • At least 3 years of post‑graduate experience working in a structural engineering role.
  • Proficiency in using Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, and Master series for structural design and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, building codes, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its application in structural engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit for creating and modifying design drawings and models.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • A keen interest in professional development and staying updated with industry trends.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in the use of BIM for structural coordination and collaboration.
  • Previous experience in multidisciplinary project environments.
  • Knowledge of additional software or tools used in structural or civil engineering design would be a plus.
