Group Financial Accountant – ADAM Audio GmbH
Location: Hybrid, High Wycombe
Term: Permanent
Salary: £65,000-£75,000 per annum + excellent benefits
The RoleWe’re looking for a qualified accountant to join the Group Finance team as a Group Financial Accountant supporting external statutory reporting, IFRS technical accounting, tax, and treasury issues within the Group Finance team. The position offers a unique opportunity to take ownership of statutory and technical accounting processes within a fast‑paced and evolving group environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Take responsibility for the Group’s annual and half‑year report processes and lead related projects, including preparing consolidated IFRS statutory accounts and disclosures.
- Ensure that the Group’s financial statements and annual reports are delivered to a high standard with relevant disclosures in a timely manner.
- Act as the key contact for external auditors and coordinate the annual and interim audit, ensuring all auditor queries are satisfactorily addressed.
- Prepare technical accounting memos for the Audit Committee in line with IFRS.
- Produce and maintain Group-wide accounting policies and the Group Finance Manual.
- Serve as the Group’s technical accounting expert and assist management accounting teams with IFRS accounting treatment queries.
- Manage the Group’s internal control programme, including the internal control declaration process.
- Prepare all UK‑based entities’ financial statements and ensure timely filing.
- Account for share‑based payments, including preparing budgets and updated forecasts for the group.
- Support outsourced tax providers: accounting for current and deferred tax, completing tax packs, preparing corporation tax computations, and assisting with transfer‑pricing policy implementation.
- Maintain hedge documentation and assess FX impact on group reporting, providing recommendations for risk management.
- Collaborate with senior finance leaders, regional finance teams, tax, treasury, and external advisors; communicate complex accounting matters clearly to non‑financial stakeholders and executive management.
- Qualified ACA with audit background.
- Strong grounding in IFRS technical accounting.
- Experience working in or with a multi‑national or listed company.
- Experience with multi‑currency group consolidation.
- Strong analytical and IT skills, especially in Excel.
- Experience with Net Suite and Microsoft BI is an advantage.
- Strong, effective communicator with proven ability to build relationships.
- Ability to communicate with the Board and non‑financial individuals.
- High level of personal motivation and initiative, capable of working to tight deadlines in a flexible environment.
- Proactive in improving processes for effectiveness and efficiency.
- High level of attention to detail.
