Job Summary

The SAP Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst supports the Project Manager in the controlled and effective delivery of SAP cloud business system implementations. The role focuses on maintaining strong project governance, reporting standards, and compliance with established PMO frameworks.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day PMO support to the Project Manager to ensure the controlled and effective delivery of SAP cloud business system implementations.
  • Support project governance by maintaining PMO standards, methodologies, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, and dependencies across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, risks, issues, and actions, escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, logs, reports, and RAID registers.
  • Produce regular project status reports in line with PMO reporting standards.
  • Organise and support project workshops, meetings, and steering groups, including agendas, minutes, and actions.
  • Support cutover planning and execution to ensure a smooth transition to the SAP business system.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to support successful system deployment.
  • Promote professional, effective working relationships with all stakeholders and opinion leaders throughout the project lifecycle.
Personal Specification
  • Strong delivery discipline, consistently meeting commitments and supporting achievement of project milestones.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex SAP cloud data, resolve issues, and identify process improvements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present project updates and technical information clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Proven stakeholder management experience, enabling effective collaboration across IT, business teams, and external partners throughout the SAP Activate implementation lifecycle.
  • High levels of persistence and follow-through, maintaining momentum and overcoming challenges in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Demonstrable experience (1–3+ years) in project planning, including scheduling, resource coordination, and progress tracking.
  • Strong understanding of governance, controls, and compliance within SAP cloud implementation programmes.
  • Practical experience in risk, issue, and dependency management, with a proactive approach to mitigation.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach, anticipating challenges and taking initiative under the guidance of the Project Manager.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint), and project management tools (Planner, MS Project).
  • Hands‑on experience supporting SAP cloud testing and user training to drive system readiness and adoption.
  • Experience with data migration and cutover planning and execution.
  • Experience with in the NHS or healthcare sector.
  • Experience working with SAP or other enterprise‑level ERP systems.
