Assistant Engineer

We’re recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established drain cleaning and maintenance company based in High Wycombe, who are looking for a motivated Assistant Engineer to join their growing team.

Salary
Hourly rate: £12.45 per hour (basic hours), Overtime and Late shifts paid at time and a half.

Hours
Dayshift- 7:30-15:30, Evening shift- 15:30
- Midnight. Candidates that can be flexable as evening call outs are a possibility.

About the Role

This is an entry-level position ideal for someone with a positive, “can-do” attitude.  Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Typical duties include:

Carrying out drain cleaning and investigation works
Assisting with high-pressure water jetting operations
Attending reactive and unplanned emergency works
Clearing blockages for domestic and commercial customers
Operating specialist drain cleaning equipment and machinery
Using a work tablet for easy job completion and paperwork
Supporting the lead engineer on site visits

Requirements

Full UK driving licence (maximum 3 penalty points)
Over 21 years of age (for vehicle insurance purposes)
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential – full training provided
