Job Description & How to Apply Below

Overview

Do you want to join our team of Git Hub geeks and get one step ahead in transforming how organizations build software? At Xebia Microsoft Services we are proud to be Git Hub Partner of the Year, working with Microsoft MVPs and Git Hub Stars, and keeping short lines with the Git Hub product teams. That means you get to work on some of the coolest Git Hub projects out there.

You will help clients migrate, optimize developer workflows, and turn complex processes into automated value streams. Think less firefighting and more innovation. You do not need to know everything about Git Hub on day one. What matters most is your Dev Ops DNA. You understand how modern engineering culture works, and you know that tools are only powerful when people actually use them well.

Responsibilities

As a Git Hub Consultant you help organizations get the most out of Git Hub, combining technical expertise with consultancy skills. You are a trusted advisor who helps clients embrace modern Dev Ops practices and make Git Hub the backbone of their software delivery. Sometimes that means rolling up your sleeves to build workflows and pipelines. Other times it means translating business challenges into technical solutions and guiding teams through change.

You will collaborate across teams to make sure Git Hub becomes an integrated way of working rather than just a platform.

This includes:

  • Onboarding and Configuration: guide clients on their Git Hub journey, from environment setup and initial onboarding to adoption
  • Pipeline Implementation: build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Git Hub Actions, including advanced setups such as AKS self-hosted runners and Azure private networking
  • Migration: support complex repository and pipeline migrations, using automation and tools like Git Hub Advanced Implementations (GAI) to streamline the process
  • Governance and Automation: enhance the platform with governance frameworks, reusable workflow templates, and onboarding processes that ensure consistency and scalability
  • Collaboration with Git Hub: work closely with Git Hub product teams and translate new features and best practices into client solutions
  • Knowledge Sharing: conduct workshops, Q&A sessions, and hands-on garage days to transfer knowledge and empower client teams
What You Will Bring

You do not need to be a Git Hub expert from day one. If you have experience with platforms like Git Lab or Azure Dev Ops and the eagerness to learn, you will fit right in. What matters most is your ability to combine technical expertise with consultancy skills and your drive to help teams succeed. We are looking for a consultant who brings energy and a strong engineering mindset to every challenge.

You know how to dive deep into automation and pipelines, but also how to ask the right questions, simplify complex topics, and build trust with different audiences.

This includes:

  • Dev Ops DNA
: a proven background in Dev Ops practices and CI/CD, with experience improving software delivery processes
  • Platform Experience
: hands-on experience with e.g. Git Hub, Git Lab, or Azure Dev Ops and the curiosity to grow into Git Hub expertise
  • Infrastructure Skills
: practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Consultancy & Communication
: the ability to engage with both engineers and executives, build trust with stakeholders, lead workshops, and simplify complex challenges
  • Growth Mindset
: eagerness to learn from Microsoft MVPs, Git Hub Stars, and colleagues who push the boundaries of what is possible
Your Path To Success In The First Year
  • Build trust with clients by delivering high-quality Git Hub solutions that improve their developer experience.
  • Collaborate on migrations and optimizations with experienced colleagues, developing the expertise to independently lead projects as your skills grow.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding organizations in adopting Dev Ops practices and scaling Git Hub across teams.
  • Share your expertise inside and outside Xebia, through knowledge sessions, blogs, talks, or community contributions.
Why Work for Xebia Microsoft Services
  • Knowledge sharing at the core: From our weekly knowledge sharing (XKE Tuesdays) to quarterly Innovation Days where you pitch, build, and showcase your ideas.
  • Broadening your expertise: €5k annual learning budget, unlimited training access, and colleagues across cloud, data, AI, and security.
  • Everything under one roof: Knowledge sharing, challenging projects, growth opportunities, and plenty of humor – daily.
  • Making memories together: Annual ski trips (Skibia), summer getaways (Scubia), and a wide variety of activities from motorcycling and hockey to cooking workshops and karaoke.
