Salary : £26,350 - £30,050 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Location Bonus : £1,095 per annum
Ofsted Outstanding Bonus : £300
Annual Leave Entitlement : 243 hours

Driving Licence
Residential Support Worker (Flexible Rota) – Primarily covering gaps in the rota due to planned leave and staff training. This role does not follow a fixed shift pattern. You will work across 7 days, with scheduled days off and one full weekend off each month.
Residential Support Worker (Fixed Rota) – Working on a 1 on / 2 off shift pattern from 7 : 30 am – 11 : 00 pm.
Sleep-In Duties :There is a requirement to complete sleep-in shifts as part of both roles.

The RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team at The Cedars Children’s Home. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and working alongside an experienced, skilled team of professionals. You will help provide essential support to young people in care, assisting them with daily activities, appointments, and behavioural management, all while creating a positive and nurturing home environment.
You will be joining a large team of dedicated and committed staff who support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities (LD), and complex needs.
- Support young people in a range of activities, including cooking, cleaning, outings, and taking part in games and appointments.
- Manage challenging behaviours effectively and professionally, with support from senior staff and therapeutic services.
- Create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people, ensuring they feel heard and valued.
- Collaborate with psychologists and the therapy team to establish appropriate boundaries and strategies for supporting the children in your care.
- Some children require personal care. You will be expected to support children in all aspects of their lives, including participation in various activities.
- A genuine passion for safeguarding, motivating, and inspiring young people.
- Ability to demonstrate and lead by example, sharing best practices with your team.
- Experience with challenging behaviour, with the ability to handle such situations calmly and professionally.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
