Senior Tekla Draughtsman

Bennett and Game are pleased to represent a well-established specialist contractor delivering complex architectural metalwork and structural steelwork packages across high-value construction projects throughout the UK. Following the recent relocation of their office to Hitchin and with a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Tekla Draughtsman to take ownership of technically demanding packages from design through to fabrication and installation.

This role suits an experienced Tekla professional who enjoys leading packages, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and playing a key role in the successful delivery of complex steelwork and architectural metalwork schemes.

Job Overview

Lead and manage Tekla Structures models for complex architectural metalwork and structural steelwork packages

Produce and oversee GA drawings, fabrication drawings and erection drawings

Take ownership of Tekla packages from concept through to fabrication and site delivery

Coordinate closely with engineers, architects, project managers and fabrication teams

Resolve design issues, RFIs and clashes throughout the project lifecycle

Maintain models through revisions and as-built stages

Provide technical support and guidance to junior draughting staff

Job Requirements

Strong experience using Tekla Structures within structural steel or architectural metalwork

Proven background delivering complex steelwork packages independently

Excellent understanding of fabrication, welding and installation processes

Ability to manage workload, priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision

Confident communicator with strong coordination and problem-solving skills

Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members

Salary & Benefits

Salary £50,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience
