Assistant Support Worker

We currently have Full Time (37.5 hours) and Part Time (30 hours) and (22.5 hours) Assistant Support Worker positions at our registered care home in Hoddesdon.

Haselwood Avenue is a supported living service for adults with learning disabilities, offering day to day support including personal care, hoisting, meal preparation and assistance with medication.

What You will Do
  • Supporting with personal care in a dignified and respectful way
  • Aid with the daily administration of medication
  • Encouraging life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting
  • Organise trips to local amenities
  • Promoting independence and helping residents achieve their personal goals
  • Follow tailored support plans and risk assessments to ensure safety and wellbeing
  • Provide appropriate support to individuals who are living in their own homes or in a supported housing setting to enable them to support their aspirations and maximise their independence
  • Provide personal care but also promote life skills such as shopping, managing budgets and supporting with domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning
  • Build long lasting support relationships with people who will benefit from you being the difference
  • Follow agreed support plans and risk assessments to ensure that we are providing a service that meets each individual’s needs

Please note you must be comfortable working with shift work to be considered for this role.
