What will I be doing as a Waking Night-Support Worker?
- Develop positive relationships with the young people in our care, their families and external agencies
- Contribute to the young person's care plans and risk assessments, supporting implementation and reviews
- Support young people with daily activities, educational needs and emotional well‑being
- Ensure that good quality records are maintained as required
Previous experience is not a requirement for this role as we provide three weeks of classroom training followed by one week of shadow shifts to ensure you feel confident and well equipped to start your new role!
What we are looking for?- Previous experience in a childrens residential setting or similar role is welcomed
- Ability to interact with young people and manage challenging behaviours calmly
- The ability to work independently, manage risk and use initiative
- A full UK driving licence
- Must be over 21 years of age to meet industry regulations
- Level 3 / 4 Diploma in Childrens & Young Peoples workforce is great but not essential
- Flexibility to work shifts including weekends – shifts are 22:30 pm to 08:00 am with a 4 nights on/4 nights off rotation
