Purpose of the RoleTo play a key role within the manufacture of our sustainable fabrics. The role of a Multi‑skilled Operative is crucial for ensuring that our fabric pieces are accurately and efficiently prepared for assembly, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall beauty of our products.
The day to day- Adhere to the Camira Code of Conduct and comply with all relevant quality, environmental, health & safety, data protection, and corporate legislative requirements.
- Operate griege room machines, tumbler, bagging and dry‑cleaner.
- Ensure weft is kept straight whilst packaging the cloth for the next machine.
- Push carts from one area of the factory to another.
- Maintain stacking and storage so that walkways and access points are clear.
- Follow procedures on worksheets for different fabric qualities.
- Assist in general preparation duties in the factory (multiskilling).
- Keep the machine in a clean and safe condition.
- Report any faults or inconsistencies to management.
