Accounts Receivable and Payable Assistant

Elite Recruitment are recruiting for an Accounts Receivable and Payable Assistant to join a fantastic company based near Honiton.

This amazing opportunity is a long-term temporary position (with the potential of being permanent!), offering an excellent work–life balance. You will be working Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 5:15pm, and Friday, 8:00am – 1:00pm, with a competitive pay rate of £14.40 per hour, where you will be paid weekly

As an Accounts Receivable and Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for:

Processing sales and purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Managing accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and monitoring outstanding balances
Handling accounts payable, preparing supplier payments and reconciling statements
Performing bank and ledger reconciliations
Assisting with credit control and resolving invoice or payment queries
Maintaining accurate financial records and updating accounting systems
Supporting the finance team with month-end procedures and reporting
Liaising with internal departments, suppliers, and customers professionally
To be successful in this role you will need:

Have previous experience in accounts receivable and/or payable
Possess strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Be confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Have excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
Be reliable, adaptable, and able to work well as part of a team
