Circa £15.50 - £16.50 per hour (Including Holiday Pay)

Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant available immediately and looking for a contract to take you through to at least spring 2026? Do you have strong exposure across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and enjoy supporting finance teams during periods of system change? If so, this could be an excellent opportunity.

Carrington Wood is pleased to be working with our client to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a contract basis. This role will support the finance function during a busy period, with a particular focus on transactional finance and assisting with testing a new finance system.

What You’ll Be Doing:
✔ Processing Accounts Payable invoices
✔ Managing Accounts Receivable, including raising sales invoices and allocating receipts
✔ Handling supplier and customer queries efficiently and professionally
✔ Supporting month-end tasks as required
✔ Assisting with testing, validation, and troubleshooting of a new finance system
✔ Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity
✔ Providing ad-hoc support to the wider finance team

What We’re Looking For:

💡 Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role
💡 Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
💡 Comfortable working with finance systems and supporting system testing
💡 High attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach
💡 Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively within a team
💡 Available to start ASAP
