Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day accounting and finance operations for a construction and contractor company in Honolulu, Hawaii. This Contract position is ideal for someone who brings strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and confidence handling high-volume invoice activity. The role focuses on accurate payment processing, records maintenance, and clerical support while working effectively with accounting data and digital tools.

Responsibilities:

+ Process incoming invoices

+ Match invoices to POs/receiving documents

+ Respond to vendor emails/calls

+ Route invoices for approval

+ Monitor Accounts Payable inbox, as well as general inbox

+ Update vendor records

+ Prepare weekly payment batches, file weekly payment check stubs

+ Reconcile Accounts Payable aging report and vendor statements

+ Answer and route calls, greet visitors

+ Prepare documents, letters, and reports as needed

+ Inventory and order office supplies

+ Process mail and shipments

+ Archive documents

+ Create new jobs folder for new projects

Requirements

Requirements:

+ 2 - 3 years of recent, hands-on Accounts Payable processing experience

+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

+ Good with numbers

+ High attention to detail

+ Reliable team player
