POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Manufacturing executes the company operating plan within capital and operating budget parameters. The Director of Manufacturing works with the executive leadership team to develop strategies and objectives to maximize productivity and profitability. Analyzes production trends, forecasts future requirements, solve problems, motivates & develops employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Improve operational efficiencies to reduce total production costs while meeting specific product volume needs
• Check and verify production records, handle questions or concerns of inventory shortages or overages and address problems with inventory control.
• Coordinate production schedules to meet sales demand. Adjust production as necessary to meet seasonal demands ahead of schedule.
• Ensure consistency in collective bargaining agreement and provide support during contract negotiations
• Effect necessary communication and motivation to staff. Monitors individual performance via observation and review of various productivity measures. Counsels and disciplines as necessary.
• Provides production required safety leadership and training and is responsible for improved safety performance
• Oversees all production planning and executing against demand signals.
• Oversees facility maintenance team, including Cap-Ex planning and execution.
• Provides input on new product development.
• Ensure compliance with all appropriate health and food safety regulations and cleanliness, including audit preparation
• Manage customer complaint process.
• OSHA, Federal and State requirements are followed with the facility and equipment.
• Attends the Executive, Senior Management, and Safety Committee Meetings
• Maintain work area in a neat, orderly and sanitary manner.
• Correctly and promptly follow specified company procedures required for the appropriate handling of all.
• Emergency Responses and Safety practices.
