Our elderly care home in Mablethorpe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Care Manager to join our dedicated team. As a deputy care manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our care home and providing the highest quality of care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the care home manager in the day-to-day running of the care home
Oversee and manage the care staff, ensuring they adhere to all policies and procedures
Monitor and maintain the care home's compliance with all regulatory requirements
Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the quality of care is maintained
Create and implement care plans for each resident, ensuring their individual needs are met
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals
Handle any complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner
Assist with recruitment, training, and development of care staff
Manage the care home's budget and resources effectively
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior care role, preferably in an elderly care home
Knowledge of current legislation and regulations related to elderly care
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
A compassionate and caring nature
Flexible and able to work weekends and evenings when required
Must have a valid UK driving license
