Mid Weight Digital Designer

About the Role

We’re looking for a digitally-focused Mid-Weight Designer to join our creative team, working across both Matter and our sister studio Bread & Butter. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the executional phase of design - translating brand strategy and creative direction into polished digital outputs. You’ll be working across websites, wireframes, emails, social content, and motion graphics, helping bring ideas to life across a variety of sectors, including education, energy, healthcare, and charities.

You’ll be supported by a Creative Director and senior team who provide the brand thinking and art direction - your job is to take that and run with it, crafting high-quality digital deliverables with precision and flair.

What You’ll Do

Translate      brand concepts and creative direction into digital design assets

Design      wireframes, websites, landing pages, and email templates

Create      digital content for social media, campaigns, and motion graphics

Apply      brand guidelines across digital platforms with consistency and creativity

Collaborate      with strategists, writers, and other designers to deliver cohesive      solutions

Present      work confidently to internal teams and clients

Balance      creativity with usability, accessibility, and performance across platforms

Work      across multiple clients and industries in a fast-paced studio environment
What We’re Looking For

2+      years’ experience in a studio or agency setting, with a strong digital      portfolio

Proficiency      in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and      After Effects

Solid      understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design

Experience      designing for web, email, and social platforms

Ability      to work from provided brand direction and build out full digital      executions

A      keen eye for layout, typography, and composition

Motion      design experience is a strong plus

Proactive,      detail-oriented, and confident working independently or collaboratively
