Audit Senior

TPF Recruitment, the Sussex accountancy practice specialist recruitment agency, is supporting a small independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Horsham with the recruitment of an Audit Senior.

This opportunity is open to candidates who are either part qualified or fully qualified ACA or ACCA.

This is a hands on audit role suited to someone with prior accountancy practice experience, specifically within an audit environment, who is confident managing key stages of the audit process.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Planning audit assignments including risk assessments and audit strategies

• Leading on fieldwork and conducting audit testing across a varied client base

• Preparing audit files and working papers in line with standards and deadlines

• Reviewing junior team members’ work and providing on the job guidance

• Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries

• Identifying and communicating audit findings and control weaknesses

• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts where required

• Supporting managers and partners with audit completion and reporting

• ACA or ACCA part qualified or qualified

• Previous accountancy practice experience within an audit role

• Experience covering audit planning and testing stages

• Strong technical and organisational skills

• Confident communicator with a professional approach to clients
