Inventory & Commercial Sales Coordinator
Our client is a highly regarded business experiencing significant growth, and is seeking a proactive, hands‑on Inventory & Commercial Sales Coordinator to join the team on a 12‑month maternity cover contract.
This role is ideal for someone who isn’t afraid to get stuck in—managing current web‑based sales, processing high‑volume orders, reviewing margins, and ensuring customers receive accurate, up‑to‑date quotations. You’ll be confident working at pace, able to prioritise effectively, and comfortable supporting all areas of the sales function as the business continues to grow.
A background in sales support, order processing, or parts‑related environments is highly beneficial. Strong Excel skills and the ability to pick things up quickly will be essential.
The Role- Download, update, and maintain weekly stock lists
- Process all inbound enquiries and quotation requests from web‑based platforms
- Manage shared inboxes and prioritise communications efficiently
- Handle direct sales enquiries, quote requests, and order outlines
- Review purchase orders for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare, update, and follow up on customer quotations
- Review older quotes and provide refreshed, accurate pricing
- Provide excellent customer support, including order updates and aftersales communication
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to support smooth sales operations
- Identify opportunities to upsell and promote additional products or services
- Contribute ideas to improve sales processes and workflow efficiency
- Manage inbound phone calls with professionalism and clarity
- Support at trade shows, expos, or industry events when required
- Proven experience in sales administration, order processing, or customer support
- Experience in aerospace, engineering, or a similar technical sales environment is desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, data handling)
- Ability to work collaboratively with Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and other internal teams
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (early finish at 4:30pm every Friday)
- Hybrid working (1–2 days per week after probation)
- 22 days’ holiday + bank holidays
- £30,000+ salary, dependent on experience
