Locum Consultant Haematologist

Salary: £110 per hour

Location: South West

Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time

Start Date: As soon as possible

We are working in partnership with an NHS service in Salisbury to recruit a Locum Consultant Haematologist to join a well-established and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality haematology care across outpatient, inpatient, and diagnostic services, while supporting service improvement and recovery initiatives.

• Hands‑on clinical involvement as a Consultant Haematologist, working closely with other Consultant Haematologists and Associate Specialists and sharing responsibility for all haematology patients.
• Lab work.
• MDT Meetings.
• Oversee and supervise Junior DRs and mentor when required.
• Transfusion medicine activities including transfusion, team meetings and education sessions for general medical staff.
• Full GMC registration with Licence to Practise.
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via: CCT (or within 6 months at interview), or CESR (must be on Specialist Register at time of application).

• MD or equivalent higher degree, or evidence of research in haematology.
