Salary: Up To £55K + Pkg

We are currently seeking a Site Agent to work for a main Civil Contractor who works across the UK specializing a variety of civil engineering sectors with a primary focus of rail based projects. Role will be based in Devon (Exter Depot), with the candidate expected to travel intermittently to various project sites when required.

• Fulfilling the Agent’s responsibilities as laid down in the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Ensuring that the contract is executed in accordance with the requirements of:
  All applicable legislation;
  The Terms and Conditions of the Contract;
  The Contract Health and Safety Plan;
  The Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets;
  The Contract Quality / Environmental Plan;
  The Policies and Procedures contained within the company Business Management System.
• Delivery of the contract within programme and budget. Liaison with site staff and managing surveyor to ensure tender allowances are not exceeded.
• The promotion of a continuous improvement culture and the use of best practice.
• The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.
• Ensuring that in conjunction with the site team changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.
• The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Contracts Manager.
• Ensuring that all relevant issues which cannot be resolved at contract level are passed for the attention of the Contracts Manager.

• Must have a “Contractors” background and preferably have experience of working for a major contractor.
• Both building and civil engineering experience is essential along with experience of design and build projects.
• Experience of rail would also be a distinct advantage but is not essential.
• IT literate, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
