Senior Software Engineer

Our client is a global leader in consumer electronics and are undertaking an exciting new project expected to be widely available later on this year.

As a result they are looking for Software Engineers to help drive innovation and help bring the plan to fruition.

• Creating applications that run in the cloud
• Co‑working with UX designers and PM (planning) in agile fashion to create user experience from scratch
• Developing mobile applications

• Degree qualified in Software Engineering, Computer science or similar
• Excellent understanding of networking (building connected applications)
• Excellent understanding of object oriented design and design patterns (e.g. SOLID)
• Full stack UI / UX design and development experience e.g. node.js, React
  
  JS, Bootstrap
• Use of JavaScript and at least one current JavaScript framework in a commercial setting
• Experience with creating app business logic with Java Script
• Ability to express mobile app UX in HTML and CSS3
• Experience in a variety of development languages including such as Go, Python, C, JavaScript and Java
• High disciplined approach to version control (Git, Stash, SVN or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.)

• Developed (or contributed to the development) of at least one mobile application that is publically available through a mobile application store
• Commercial experience (you are or have been a professional software developer)
• Worked within a genuinely agile development environment
