Hounslow    Hourly rate £15.25 Per Hour    Contract Length: 3-month contract (possibility of extension)    Working Pattern:
Part Time 18 hours, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, working 9am to 4pm, including an hours lunch so could be working until 3pm    ASAP Start    UK Drivers License Required

Our Localities teams play a vital role in supporting communities across the borough, managing Community Hubs and providing high-quality library services that offer access to books, learning opportunities, and community activities.
About the Role    We are looking for a reliable and organised Library Van Driver to support the day-to-day operations of our libraries and community hubs. You will ensure the safe custody and transfer of mail, parcels, publicity materials, and equipment between locations, following a set timetable and responding to ad hoc requests when needed.

Key Responsibilities    Deliver and collect items from all LB Hounslow libraries and community hubs.
Organise internal mail boxes and liaise with site staff for sorting and storage.
Respond to ad hoc requests, such as updating noticeboards or putting up banners.
Ensure compliance with courier timetables and select the most efficient routes.
Report vehicle accidents or defects promptly and maintain vehicle security and cleanliness.
Wear uniform and  all times while on duty.
About You    Understanding of the role of libraries and localities services.
Good knowledge of the borough's geography and routes.
Familiarity with LB Hounslow's Driver's Handbook.
Organised, efficient, and detail-oriented.
Flexible and able to respond to changing business needs.
Clean driving UK licence required.
