As a member of our Air Freight Operations team in Hounslow, you’ll play a key role in ensuring efficient and compliant air import operations.

As Air Import Supervisor you will oversee all aspects of air import operations, managing a team of import coordinators, collaborating with vendors and customs authorities, and implementing strategies to streamline the import process. The position is based at Hounslow and requires a strong background in air freight, import regulations, customs compliance, and logistics management.

• Supervise and guide a team of around six import coordinators, delegating tasks, providing training and performance feedback.
• Coordinate and execute the importation process, managing documentation and ensuring all procedural steps are completed accurately.
• Ensure compliance with all import regulations and customs requirements.
• Stay up to date with changes in international trade laws, applying accurate import duties and taxes.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, shipping companies, and customs brokers to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
• Address any issues or delays, working closely with internal teams and external partners to find quick solutions.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives for each shipment.
• Support the Operations Manager with ad‑hoc tasks and projects as needed.

• Proven air freight experience in an import environment.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs laws, and shipping procedures.
• Leadership experience supervising or managing a team in a fast‑paced air freight or freight forwarding environment.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of building strong working relationships internally and externally.
• High attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, organisational and multitasking skills.
• Proficient IT skills with freight systems (Cargo Wise) and Microsoft Office.
