UX​/UI Lead; AI Native

Position: UX/UI Lead (AI Native)

A growing US fintech that offers short-term financing to gig workers, freelancers and small businesses is hiring a UX/UI Lead to own its product experience and brand. Customers apply from their phones in a few spare minutes and decide whether to trust the company with their bank account. Your job is to make that decision clear, fast and safe.

This is not a traditional design role. Most UI/UX work here is done with AI, and the team wants someone who uses it better than anyone, ships fast and makes product, web, email and social feel like one brand.

What you'll do

• Audit the current experience, find what hurts conversion and trust the most, and prioritize what to fix first

• Design and ship mobile-first flows with real copy and their edge cases solved

• Make the financial details clear: cost, amount, repayment frequency, total to repay, eligibility and what happens if a payment fails, flagging anything that needs legal review

• Build and maintain a shared design system across app, web, email and social, using AI to generate it, apply it and catch drift

• Produce prototypes and code with AI (Claude, Claude Design, Claude Code) that engineering can integrate

• Propose conversion ideas per screen, each with its metric and how to test it

• Run customer interviews, A/B tests with guardrail metrics, event instrumentation and funnel analysis

• Work directly with engineering, product, operations and the founders

Must have

• Real, daily use of AI in your process: you can show actual prompts and explain what the tool produced, how you verified it and where it got it wrong

• Proven speed, with examples of what you shipped in little time

• Judgment on financial products and sensitive data

• Mobile-first craft and your own UX writing, including errors, slow connections, 360 px screens, accessibility and declined users

• Conversion mindset: funnels, drop-off analysis and experiments

• Experience building or maintaining a design system across more than one surface

• Ownership and clear written communication

• Fluent Spanish and professional English

Nice to have

• Fintech, lending, payments or gig-economy products

• A portfolio with brand and web work beyond app screens

• Front-end comfort (HTML/CSS, React) to prototype with working code

• Product analytics, session recording, surveys, HTML email and Word Press
