Openwork is hiring an experienced HVAC Test Stand Technician for an established HVAC equipment manufacturer in Houston, TX 77073
.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented technician with strong HVAC knowledge, mechanical skills, and experience testing equipment. You'll help ensure HVAC units meet performance and quality standards before leaving the manufacturing facility.

This is a full-time opportunity paying $30.00–$35.00 per hour
, based on experience, with weekly pay and long-term employment potential.

Position Details:

• Location: Houston, TX 77073
• Pay: $30.00–$35.00 per hour | Weekly Pay
• Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2:45 PM–3:45 AM
• Shift: 2nd Shift
• Overtime: Required based on company needs
• Employment: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, test, and evaluate HVAC equipment before shipment.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical instructions.
• Set up, operate, and adjust HVAC testing equipment.
• Build or modify test setups using engineering instructions.
• Use pressure gauges, thermometers, and other testing instruments.
• Identify equipment issues and report findings to supervisors.
• Record test results and prepare accurate reports.
• Perform routine maintenance on testing equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
• At least 2 years of HVAC testing, troubleshooting, repair, or related experience preferred.
• Commercial HVAC experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Experience using HVAC testing instruments and measuring tools.
• Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational HVAC training or apprenticeship is a plus.
• Must be willing to complete pre-employment hair follicle and urinalysis drug screenings.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders as needed.
• Comfortable working outdoors and remaining in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Ability to follow workplace safety procedures.
• Availability for the assigned shift and overtime as needed.
