Overview
A dedicated and passionate Veterinary Surgeon is being sought to join a thriving and compassionate team at a stand-alone small animal practice in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a vet seeking a supportive environment where their skills will be truly valued.
About the PracticeSituated in the bustling town of Hucknall, just outside Nottingham, the practice enjoys excellent transport links while maintaining a relaxed, suburban atmosphere.
The practice itself is home to a close-knit team of 3 experienced Vets, 4 supportive Nurses, and 4 friendly Receptionists. Known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere, the team also enjoys the occasional social outing together.
The Ideal Candidate- A qualified Veterinary Surgeon with current RCVS registration
- Experienced in small animal first opinion practice in the UK
- Confident in both consultations and surgical procedures
- A surgical interest or certificate holder would be welcomed
- Potential opportunity for progression into a Lead Vet role for the right individual
- Full-time applicants are preferred, though part-time options can be discussed
- Weekend rota participation (either 1:3 or 1:4) with time off in lieu
- Excellent communication skills, with a passion for animal welfare and high standards of patient care
- Strong team player who can also work independently
- Salary up to £65,000 (dependent on experience and full-time equivalent)
- Generous CPD allowance, with potential certificate funding
- 5.6 weeks holiday, increasing to 6.6 weeks after 2 years of service
