My client is a regional building contractor that deliver new build projects in commercial and education sectors. Typically projects range from £3million to £15million.
They are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Site Engineer to oversee construction and projects on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications.
Duties
• Supervise day-to-day construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans and safety standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project progression.
• Conduct site inspections regularly to monitor progress, quality, and safety adherence.
• Assist in planning and scheduling project phases, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Review technical drawings and specifications, providing feedback or adjustments as necessary.
• Manage on-site resources effectively, including labour, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure all electrical installations meet relevant codes and standards; troubleshoot electrical issues as they arise.
• Prepare detailed reports on project status, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
Skills
• Proven experience in new buildings engineering projects
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations within construction environments.
• Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for planning and reporting purposes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
