6-month temporary contract for a Quantity Surveyor working client side Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a role where you can make a real impact? We have an exciting opportunity to join a major public sector organisation delivering a strategic transformation programme focused on new build, refurbishment, and decarbonisation projects. Your new role You will play a key role in managing cost and commercial aspects of multi-site capital works projects, ensuring delivery within agreed budgets and timelines.

Working closely with project leads, design teams, and contractors, you’ll provide expert advice on cost planning, procurement, and contract administration throughout all RIBA stages.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets, and financial reports across multiple projects. Oversee interim valuations, payment notices, and final account agreements. Advise on variations, contractual obligations, and commercial risk. Attend site visits and progress meetings to monitor cost, quality, and compliance. Support procurement activities and contribute to value engineering and risk management exercises. Ensure compliance with JCT and NEC contract requirements.

What you'll need to succeed Proven experience in quantity surveying for multi-site capital works programmes, ideally within the public sector. Strong knowledge of RIBA Plan of Work stages and contract administration. Expertise in cost control, interim valuations, and final account preparation.
