Job Type: Permanent, Full‑time, 37 hours per week

Grade: 7‑9

Salary: £28,624 – £36,124 plus £2,000 Market Rate Supplement

• Design road engineering schemes with a focus on safety, including experience with safety‑related projects.
• Respond to Councillors, MPs and residents’ concerns regarding road safety on the network.
• Provide professional and technical advice on road safety and highway engineering.
• Analyse engineering problems and apply technical expertise to produce solutions, especially for high‑collision areas.
• Conduct or learn to conduct road‑safety audits and become an internal road‑safety auditor.
• Perform duty‑holder responsibilities under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, primarily as a Designer.

Relevant experience in road engineering design and safety, knowledge of road safety audits, and the ability to solve complex engineering challenges.
