About this Position:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Planner/Scheduler to support project delivery within a complex engineering environment. Working alongside the head of project management, Programme Managers, and wider business functions, this role is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining robust project and programme schedules. The successful candidate will ensure accurate planning, timely progress updates, and clear reporting to support effective decision-making across multiple initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
* Work with Programme Managers and internal teams to understand project structures, dependencies, and sequencing.
* Create and maintain detailed schedules that reflect activity durations, resource needs, and critical paths.
* Manage schedule baselines and ensure all configuration updates are accurately controlled.
* Update schedules to reflect progress, actuals, and revised sequencing as required.
* Assess schedule performance to identify risks, delays, and potential conflicts.
* Provide clear schedule performance reporting and propose corrective actions where needed.
* Integrate schedules across interconnected projects and programmes to ensure alignment and consistency.
Experience
Required:
* Proven experience as a Project Planner or Project Scheduler on complex projects.
* Strong planning, monitoring, and review capabilities.
* Experience with in an engineering or manufacturing environment is highly advantageous.
* Proficiency in project scheduling tools, ideally MS Project.
* Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is beneficial.
* Bachelor’s or master's degree in business management or a related field.
* Scheduling certification (e.g., PMI-SP) preferred.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong organisational abilities, including multi-tasking and time management.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to adapt plans when circumstances change.
* Competent with Microsoft Office and confident in both written and verbal communication
