Play a vital role in safeguarding Yorkshire’s water supply for over 5.2 million people. As part of our specialist Reservoir Assets Team, you’ll help ensure the safety, integrity, and compliance of our reservoirs under the Reservoirs Act 1975. This is a unique opportunity to develop into a fully qualified Reservoir Supervising Engineer through a structured 4-year training plan, while contributing to asset management, risk-based decision-making, and major investment projects.

As our Reservoir Supervising Engineer you will:
- Ensure the safe operation and statutory compliance of reservoirs under the Reservoirs Act 1975.
- Supervise the operation and maintenance of reservoirs and produce annual performance statements.
- Take legal responsibility for reservoir safety at all times.
- Support the development and implementation of structured training to become a fully competent Reservoir Supervising Engineer within 4 years.
- Work as part of a specialist team providing expert advice on reservoir safety and integrity.
- Apply risk management principles to protect and improve reservoir assets.
- Plan and carry out asset management activities, including inspections, maintenance prioritisation, and major works.
- Develop and maintain integrated asset policies covering design, operation, maintenance, and investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, business plans, and regulatory targets in all asset-related policies.
- Promote and maintain the company’s reputation as a responsible reservoir undertaker within the industry.
- Strong technical and engineering expertise, including design, operational, and maintenance knowledge.
- Degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering.
- In-depth understanding of engineering specifications, design guidance, and site process safety.
