A global engineering solutions provider, supplying specialist containment and aseptic systems into regulated industries including pharmaceutical, healthcare, biotech and chemical manufacturing, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support continued project growth.

This role suits an experienced electrical design engineer looking for technically challenging, bespoke machinery projects and the opportunity to operate at a senior level within a stable, well-established engineering team.

The Role

* Electrical design of industrial machinery and engineered systems

* Design of electrical control panels, power distribution and control circuits

* Creation of electrical schematics and documentation using electrical CAD software

* Design and review of safety circuits including emergency stops, interlocks and safety relays

* Support of ATEX-related electrical design where required (experience beneficial but not essential)

* Collaboration with controls, mechanical and project engineering teams

* Technical mentoring and design support for junior and mid-level engineers

* Involvement through full project lifecycle including design, build support and testing

The Ideal Candidate

* Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within industrial, machinery, automation or regulated environments

* Strong understanding of electrical control systems and panel design

* Working knowledge of safety circuits and machinery safety standards

* Experience using at least one of the following CAD packages:

* EPLAN

* AutoCAD Electrical

* Solid Works Electrical

* Exposure to ATEX, hazardous area or regulated industry design advantageous but not essential

* Able to provide a senior, confident engineering presence within a team environment

* Strong communication skills and a practical, hands-on engineering approach
