As a scheduler or planner, you will work directly under the head of project management, collaborating with Programme Managers and business functions. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Consult with Programme Managers and internal departments to understand the structure, sequence and relationships of project and programme schedules.
- Develop schedules that accurately reflect the sequence of activities, durations, resources and critical paths to deliver projects and programmes.
- Control configuration of Project Baseline Schedules.
- Collaborate with internal departments to maintain the schedules: update progress, record actual durations and adjust sequencing as required.
- Evaluate schedule performance to identify deviations, conflicts and potential delays.
- Report schedule performance to Project and Programme Managers, along with potential corrective actions.
- Manage the integration of schedules for linked projects and programmes.
- Proven work experience as a Project Scheduler on complex projects.
- Effective at planning, monitoring and reviewing.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proficiency in project scheduling software, preferably MS Project.
- Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business management or related field.
- Certification as a scheduling professional (PMI-SP or equivalent) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational, multitasking and time‑management skills.
- Relationship‑building capability to maintain effective relationships throughout the business.
- Good analytical skills and ability to draw sound conclusions.
- Computer literacy with use of Microsoft Office.
